Quest Apartment Hotels New Zealand opens fifth property during pandemic

Adrian Turner, Group General Manager Quest Apartment Hotels (NZ), says that this growth has been planned for a while and won’t be the last.

“Quest has worked incredibly hard managing the relationships with our landlords, supporting local partners, and focusing on the needs of the corporate travel market to keep our boutique apartment hotels running efficiently during what has been a very trying time."

The new Quest 256 Lambton is a great example of meeting the needs of the market. The 54-apartment complex will include a mixture of studios, one and two-bedroom apartments to accommodate the short and extended stay corporate traveller as well as those visiting Wellington just for a visit for the weekend or to attend a concert.

“Our goal is always to have properties in the best location with access to the amenities that make a stay at a Quest easy and uncomplicated.”

Located at 256 Lambton Quay, the new site is right in the centre of the main shopping centre and business district and is in easy walking distance to both the Westpac Stadium and the TSB Arena and will be operated by Franchise Directors, Sean and Lena Chin who have been a part of Quest since 2014.

“Our Quest journey started with Quest Atrium, where we applied our previous business experiences together with Quest best practices into improving an established property. After 5 years of operations, we are glad to be offered a new and exciting opportunity from Quest to operate a greenfield property in Wellington CBD’’.

Quest will be opening another 4 properties between August 2022 and April 2023 with Quest Hastings due to open November 2022, Quest on Ward in Hamilton re-opening after refurbishment in November 2022, Quest on Cambridge, Christchurch, March 2023 and Quest Mt Maunganui in April 2023.
